TindelMichi: Equinox

equinox-tindelmichi

"Equinox" by TindelMichi (John Tindel & Michi Meko)

Medium: Acrylic & aerosol paint, oil crayon on cradled oak panel

Dimensions: 48" x 48" x 2.5"

Year: 2009? (Maybe)

Info: This piece was originally a TindelMichi painting that was featured in our "Mint Julep" exhibit.  A very simple colorfield type painting, with just some of my handcut letters in the corner that read "Whiskey always made her feel warm inside."  So, like anything that sits around in my studio, it got painted on/added to.  I think that this piece was for a charity or a donation (around the equinox).  So I took the TindelMichi piece and went for the theme of equinox.  Added the deer, smoke, trees, text and mint color, to morph this TindelMichi into a new piece that still showcases the original work.
