TindelMichi: Redneck Graffiti

Redneck-Graffiti-TindelMichi

“Redneck Graffiti” by TindelMichi

Artists: John Tindel & Michi Meko Exhibit: “Redneck Graffiti” Exhibit in Cabbagetown, Ga. Medium: Acrylic, aerosol paint, oil crayon. diptych 24″ x 48″ x 2.5″ each Dimensions: 48 x 48 x 2.5″ Year: 2003

Info: This piece is historic to me. It was a contest between both artist to do the same piece.  During this painting, I said we should do a show called Redneck Graffiti and have no wine, no cheese... just 150 lbs of fried chicken. This was before Millennials made pabst a cultural icon. This was two fat southern boys wanting to do a show that was regional and a bit over the top. An art show unique to Atlanta... Unique to the South.
