Biggun Gone Lift You Up...

This is my first found object piece.  The complete piece is from the wood and designs found in my studios scrap pile.  Seems I have a vividly thriving piles of trash.  The work was displayed at Kibbee Gallery, Atlanta, Ga in late 2010 early 2011. Handmade Labor of Love.©

Shows/Exhibits: July 2010

odrama-2.jpg

Wanted to post some images and videos of some of the art events my work and myself attended in the last week.

First off it was the Lunchbox Show at Alcove Gallery.  70 artists and a bunch of lunchboxes... SOLD the one I did, but will take commissions if anyone is interested. Only $100.

Next up was the slightly controversial "New Pan-African" exhibit at Archetype Gallery.  Exhibit runs through the month, so check it out.

We ended the weekend with a Classic Atlanta Style Art show.  Bunch of us (Urban Medium, Michi, Zach Wolfe, Sam Parker, Dax, Emer and Nathan Bolster) put together SCALE at Studio 900.  Large scale pieces and a good time.

TINDEL vs MICHI: The Election

November 2008
Art Department Gallery
Atlanta, Ga

About the Exhibit

The show was an election.  Votes were cast and decisions were made.  One of the freshest exhibits in Atlanta's history crowned a Cring of the South.  Viewers were inside of an exhibit, the postcards for the exhibit were ballots that you tore in half and voted on your favorite artist.  In the back, TINEL & Michi were painting on a huge pice of wood while viewers dropped notes to the artist and they incorporated everything into the work. Watch video to see who it was. New South Movement historical footage.
